Enhanced analysis with measurements

 

 

Some requirements specify the width of iso levels to describe the target distribution.

 

 

User has the possibility to measure those widths with the new range measure available for User line shape.

 

 

The range represents the width between the first point of the line and the point at which the threshold value is found, starting from the second point.

 

 

This point coordinates can also be displayed using Range_X and Range_Y measures.

Enhanced analysis with measurements

 

 

With Intensity map, Cut-off sharpness measurement is available to check conformity of low beam regulation.

 

Maximum value of gradient and its position can now be evaluated.

 

Global rules allows to use formula based on other measurements.

 

Result of evalution can be numerical to define new customized measures.

 

Result can also be Boolean if target is evaluating a check of conformity.

 

Thanks to all this new evolution, TC 4-45, “Performance Assessment Method for Vehicle Headlighting Systems“  can now be evaluated in SPEOS.

 

 

Productivity enhancement

 

 

With new SPEOS version, settings applied on result are kept for next simulation.

 

 

 

No need to apply again scale modification or unit change for example.

 

 

 

 

In addition to sampling definition, sensors can now be defined with resolution.

 

 

 

 

Simulation report

 

 

To help user in its simulation definition, project description has been added to simulation node.

 

Project description can use parameters, comments and screenshot can be added to simulation report.

 

Parameters can be Design parameters, Measurement Results from SPEOS Simulation or Result from CATIA Formula.

 

Comments can also be modified on isolated simulation project description to keep information for next update for instance.

 

Simulation report has been enhanced.

Easier to read and print with CSS style template.

 

Content has been reviewed for better simulation review.

Enhanced analysis with measurements

 

 

Spectral maps give access to new types of magnitude to perform color measurements according to the colorimetric system.

 

 

For instance average, minimum, maximum color values over an area or along a line can directly be measured.

 

 

User can also easily observe color variations using the section panel.

 

 

Color and spectrum data as well as Color Rendering Index panels can be accessed using the line shapes.

 

Interactive light source

 

 

Interactive light source offers now more possibilities.

 

 

Several entities (from Points, Lines, Surfaces or Directions) can be selected for Start and End lists.

 

 

Light Expert is still available to filter rays by surface contribution after interactive simulation.

 

 

 

Light source management

 

 

Low power LED are generally binned using intensity values.

 

 

Surface source allows now to define flux of light source using Luminous intensity.

 

 

 

For luminaire source, luminous flux or radiant flux can now be adapted to real flux corresponding to the real LED flux or power delivered by the ballast.

 

 

 

 

 

3D irradiance sensor

 

 

Using 3D irradiance sensor, in addition to Planar integration type, a new Radial type has been added to integrate light without cosinus correction.

 

 

For a better ergonomics, geometry lists have been merged in one single list to select faces or body.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SPEOS VR - Advanced configuration

 

 

The new save configuration function gives the ability to save the camera point of view and the light settings in one configuration.

   >>  Save configuration in one click

 

 

Present your SPEOS VR result easily and focus areas of interest like display reflection or hot spot areas for review and presentation

 

 

Fast and easy access to configurations with mouse wheel up down or buttons left right.

SPEOS VR - Color management

 

 

Color management is to ensure a good correspondence of color appearance between SPEOS full spectral data and the ability of the Screen  to display color.

 

Using ICM color  calibration files and color management algorithm brings correct color in you display.

 

Ability to display luminance and color correctly even though the screen display has just a certain luminance and color space.

 

  >>  Measured ICM files

  >>  Gamut clipping

  >>  Maintain lightness and hue

  >>  Maintain hue

 

Choose different Algorithm for different use cases to have improved color or luminance visibility

Optical Shape Design - Diamond grid

 

 

In addition to rectangular and circular grid, Optical surface and Lens can now be created with a diamond grid.

 

For better style rendering, angles can be adapted to fit with your design curves.

 

 

 

 

 

Optical Shape Design - Freestyle Grid

 

 

On SPEOS V17, Optical Surface and Optical Lens are even freeform than ever.

 

 

In addition to circular and rectangular grid, freestyle grid is now availble.

 

 

It can be based on open curves (rectangular-like) or closed curves (circular-like).

 

 

Freestyle grid is compatible with

Optical Surface (Radii, Freeform, Sharp Cut-off) &  Optical Lens (Radii, Freeform, Prism)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Optical Shape Design - Fresnel Lens

 

 

Freeform type has been added to Optical Lens.

 

 

Freeform type allows to send light directly on one direction or position even with a freeform support.

 

 

Freeform type on Optical Lens is compatible with Rectangular, circular or freestyle grid.

 

 

With circular grid, smooth option allows to simplify geometry.

Optical Shape Design - Vertical Spread for Low Beam

 

 

Sharp cut off is a fantastical tool to generate low beam pattern without any glare above the cut off.

 

 

It is now possible to control the vertical spread of beam pattern. By this way, uniformity of light pattern can be improved.

 

 

In addition, Sharp cut off element is available with Circular and Freestyle grid.

For more style freedom, Support can now be considered as inside or outside surface.
