Dear Customers and Partners,

We are pleased to announce that SPEOS for PTC Creo 2014 is now available!

This new version includes Photometric targets created in the sensor allowing for faster simulations enhancing users productivity.

The usability has been enhanced with the use of a coordinate system to setup your sources and sensors in very few clicks.

We have enhanced the 3D texture generator so patterns can also be applied or aligned with respect to any normal freeform support surface for flexible display applications.

We really hope you will enjoy this new version of SPEOS for PTC Creo.

If you have any questions, please contact your local Optis subsidiary.

Improvement in

illuminance simulation

Street lighting validation scene 34 luminaires

Direct 2D Illuminance simulation makes illumination characterization easier.

Users can get illuminance maps of any lighting system output in very few seconds without the noise generated by Monte Carlo propagation.

Direct simulation 25 millions rays,
1 minute 30s, noise on result

Direct 2D illuminance simulation

10 secondes, no noise

Productivity & Ergonomics Measure template

Users save time when making the same measurements on simulation results by associating measure templates directly to sensors.

Templates offer direct access to standard measurements.

Measure results can be reviewed from the SPEOS tree and in the simulation report.

Optimization and Tolerancing targets can be set in one click, being directly fed by measures.

Productivity & Ergonomics Measure template

Users can easily check the fulfillment of measures against regulation standards or User Defined specifications.

Rules allow the ability to test measures against defined targets.

Rule results can be reviewed in the simulation report.

More efficiency & ergonomics to create light extractors with 3D Texture

Constant pattern orientation

Automatic mapping capabilities have been enhanced in 2013 SP3 to automatically align patterns with the respect to the normal of the freeform support surface.

This second sample shows you the automatic mapping improvements applied to the LED bulb patterns

Human Vision

Color Visual deficiency

Roughly 8% of men and 0.5% of women are affected by color visual deficiency.

This effects 5% of your customer base relating to perceived quality & security issues.

Make a comprehensive decision about Material & Color considering the whole panel of customers.

Available with O_SV5_VL package
